An award-winning research and creativity consultant, Caroline Southard spent over 10 years helping corporate clients including HSBC, Barclays, Lloyds TSB, Orange, New Scientist and the Daily Mail innovate and progress their products and services, generating multi-£million profits. Starting out in creativity and entertainment, Caroline graduated from the London College of Music in the mid 90s, then worked for the BBC Proms under Sir John Drummond and at the Musicians Benevolent Fund mentored by Robert Ponsonby CBE. She even did a stint managing well-known artists including Steve Reich, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Lesley Garrett. Taking inspiration for empathy, collaboration and creativity from the Arts and music, she continues to inspire clients with new thinking and interactive collaborative experiences.
Lucy is known for her original ideas that she carries through to create striking illustrations and designs. She has worked with clients including BT, The British Council, Phones 4U, Yo Sushi and Cbeebies; to create innovative project solutions for websites, videos, applications, games and printed materials. Lucy achieved an MA in Sequential Design and Illustration in 2011 and has just finished her first book of illustrations, called “Puzzle”, exploring the areas of optical illusions and magic. Her personal work feeds into her professional activities enriching the work that she produces for clients. Lucy created the illustrations for The Creative Connection website. She also storyboarded and directed the Co creation video, which was animated by Angie Thomas
Alessia is a Strategic Designer with a passion and talent in visual articulation. Her creative background ranges from photography, contemporary art, video production to graphic design and communication. She found her true love in the Design thinking and Service design discipline, practicing visual connective thought, she can shape creativity into practical propositions for users. Throughout her work in Service Design she has gained considerable experience in Qualitative research and more recently broadening and rounding her User Centered Design skills by working on UX strategies for digital projects
Monique is packaging and branding designer with 7 years industry experience along with a Bachelor of Art & Design. Achieving multiple awards at the Pent Awards – International Packaging Design Awards for her work as well as being published in numerous international packaging design books. She has worked on some of Australiasia’s most well known brands, creating designs for companies such as Cadbury, Pascall, Golden Circle and Lion Breweries as well as some more boutique clients. She has also developed brand identities to create real personalities for a range of businesses, organisations and corporations. With a keen eye for design and great conceptual skills as well as a sound knowledge of the printing process Monique is a specialist in the packaging design field
Majoring on architectural and inside-spaces design in his work with the Creative Connection, Illugi is also involved in a range of arts-related academic and community projects, using his unique ability to be able to connect with and inspire people from all backgrounds. His rich and varied career has included being an Art Director working on production for 20th Century Fox, The Muppets Show, Granada TV, Channel 5, the BBC, The Globe Theatre & The National Theatre. He has also worked as a highly successful community arts facilitator and had a range of art commissions and exhibitions throughout the world. He holds Masters of Arts in both Fine Arts and Architecture and a BA in Environmental Design and teaches and currently teaches at Central St Martins School of Art
Angie began her professional life as a 2D animator. As her interests developed she started editing. She has been working as a camera operator and video editor since, filming live feed for conferences, award ceremonies, live events, and producing more than 200 promotional videos from concept through to final edit. To date she has worked for over 15 years in image-based industries. As a video editor she has worked on promotional projects used for digital advertising, to live capture and feed for events. Her clients have included Delliotts, Cancer Research, LG, Yell.com and RBS. Her skills include digital animation, image manipulation, camera operation and video editing.
Jon has worked in business strategy and marketing for nearly 20 years. For HSBC, he developed one of the most successful retail banking propositions in the market. As Head of Marketing at a financial start up, he grew the business quickly, opening 10 branches in just over 2 years. He continues to provide consultancy and marketing to help financial companies thrive in challenging times.
